MAA 2012 Fall Adult Softball Leagues - Saturday, March 31, 2012

2012 Fall Adult Softball Leagues.

 

Registration will open on June 1 for returing teams.  On June 16 I will registration to the public for open spots.

 
I will post registration information on this page as we get closer to June 1.
 

League Start Date: TBD (Late August)

Fees: $575 team fee paid online to register
Schedule:  5 Weeks of Double Headers Plus Tournament Night
 

League Nights
Mondays - Coed Rec League

Tuesdays - Rec Level Men's League

Wednesdays - Intermediate Men's League

Thursdays - Rec Level Men's League

 

Thursdays are typically full each year with returning teams, but there are usually open spots on the other nights for new teams.  I wil know by June 16 if there are any open Thursday spots available for a new team. Contact Steve Scott with any questions at maapark.steve@gmail.com

MAA 2012 Summer Adult Softball 
Men's League - MONDAY Nights Only
Recreational Level Teams Only.  No advanced level teams.
****The Spring/Summer Adult Monday League is FULL & Registration is Closed****

 

Team Fee:  $575

Start Date:  Monday, May  14, 2012

Format:  5 Weeks of Double Headers plus one Tournament night.
Game Times: 6:15/7:15 & 8:20/9:20

 

Teams from last year will have first option of registering.  Fee will be paid up-front online via credit card, no exceptions!

 

I will post a note here once we have the registration system setup.

 

New Teams:  Please contact me before registering to ensure there are any open spots.

FALL 2012 Leagues Planned:

 

Monday:  Co-ed

Tuesday: Mens Rec League

Wednesday: Mens Intermediate League

Thursday:  Mens Rec League

 

I will open up registration for the existing teams in early June to allow returning teams to register first.  Then, I willl open up to all other teams.  Typically, Thursdays are the same returning teams (no one wants to lose their Thursday spot!).  There are usually several openings for new teams on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

 

All payments must be made online this year with a debit or credit card. No team will be considered registered until they have paid the team fee online and we will not hold spots.  It became too time consuming tracking down a few teams during the season that hadn't paid.

League Highlights:
 
•  Fall League Starts Mid August
•  5 weeks of double headers (We added an extra week this year so all teams play one another)
•  End of season single elimination tournament. T-shirts awarded to tourny winner
•  8 teams per league / 1 league each night
•  Number of umpires per game - 1 
•  League fees - $550 
•  Rainouts: We will make every effort to makeup rainouts.  There will be no refunds.
•  Game Times: 6:15 - 7:15 - 8:25 - 9:25
•  You will be allowed 2 hours to complete 2 games (6:15 to 8:15 and 8:25 to 10:25)
•  Once an inning is started we will complete after time has expired as long as the game is still playable.
•  Mercy Rules: 10 runs after 5 OR 12 runs after 4 OR 15 runs after 3
•  Home Run Rules:  Three home runs allowed per game for each field.  After that any HR is an out.
•  USSA Adult Softball Rules Apply with MAA Modifications
•  Balls Used:  Monday, Tuesday & Thursday use limited flight balls for safety.  Wed use dense core balls.

Payment & Registration Information: 
Teams that played last year have priority registration until June 30. 
$550 League Fee.  Payment must be received to be in league and to be scheduled.  No spots reserved without nonrefundable deposit of $100.  In order to register complete the registration form and send to address below with downpayment or full payment (check or credit card)
