New Board Members Wanted!
We're looking for one or two parents who would like to join the MAA Board and help run the ball park. Manchester Athletic Association is a501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is not affiliated with the City of Manchester, other than our location and name. Our ball park is run by volunteer parents just like you and is funded by registrations, tournaments, and concession stand revenues.
Some on the board have volunteered their time for nearly 20 years due to their love of baseball and willingness to give their time; others have only joined the board in the last few years. Any amount of time volunteering helps make our park more successful. Obviously the more people involved the less work invovled for any one person. If you are the type of person who wants to get involved and be a part of a nonprofit organization that promotes youth fitness and baseball/softball instruction you will fit in just fine.
Volunteer Duties Include:a
Monthly Board meetings that take 60 - 90 minutes
Coordinator Responsibility: For example running the Training League, Boys or Girls Coordinators, or Umpire Scheduling
In Charge of the Ball Park: Approx two times per month you will be the person in charge of the ball park for a 5 hr shift.
It's a great way to get involved with the community and to meet a lot of people. If you're interested please contact any Board Member.
