Wednesday 10U American League (6 Game Concurrent League):

For 10U teams interested in an American Level league on Tuesdays contact Steve Scott at maapark.steve@gmail.com.  We have two spots open for this concurrent league.  This league is for team development and more games.  No trophies or league standings are maintained.  All games played at MAA on Wednesday nights.

 

 - Great as a second practice league. Develop your players and pitchers. No trophies or rankings...just play more games.

Registration for the 2014 Spring/Summer 5U - 14U age groups is open ONLY for those approved by a manager and already on a team.  Please have your manager obtain and provide you with proper registration via email.

MAA Picture Day

Pictures for MAA Teams will be held on 2 days this year.

Photographers will setup on the West side of the White House driveway.  Picture order forms can be picked up at the concession stand.  The vendor will be contacting the team managers to schedule a time.  For the managers that did not attend the January Manager's meeting, Greater Image will have your contact information.

Rainout Information:  Picture Day will be rained out only if it is actually raining.  MAA games may be rained out if the fields are too muddy, but picture day may still take place on the grass if it's not raining.  Check back on here on this web site or call the rainout line for rainout information directly related to picture day.
MAA Night at Busch Stadium

MAA NIGHT AT BUSCH STADIUM

2014 Team Cardinal Tickets Order Form PDF 
 

2014's MAA Night at Busch Stadium will be on Tuesday June 03, 2014.  The Cardinals play the Kansas CIty Royals at 6:15 pm.  MAA will have Pavilion Box and Pavilion Reserve seats at $15.00 per ticket.  The players and coaches will be able to parade around the field prior to the game.  Each team is requested to have only 2-3 coaches per team walk the field with the players.  Players are encouraged to wear their uniform shirts for the parade.  Additional information about the parade will be provided when you pick up your tickets.

 

Purchasing Information:

Please detach the form below and mail it along with a single check from each team made payable to MAA.  We ask that managers mail only one order and one check per team.  We will make every effort to seat teams next to one another if they so request.

 

Deadline:

Ticket orders MUST be received by us at the addresson the order form no later than May 14, 2014.

 

Ticket Pickup Information:

Tickets will be available for team pick-up on Wednesday May 21st and Thursday May 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm under the concession stand pavilion at MAA.  If the weather is bad on those dates, the location will change to the MAA “white house” located at the east end of the ball park.  If the Manager is unable to pick the tickets up one of these dates – please send a representative from your team, or another designee, to pick up your tickets.  NOTE:  Managers, if you can't make it on these dates/times please send a parent in your place.  It is time consuming for volunteers to make special pickup arrangements for teams.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Kansas City Royals

Game Time: 6:15 pm

 

Note:  This instructions may be updated as we get closer to the game day.  Please check back.

4:50 pm - Arrival time for Parade Participants

  • Meet at the Southeast 'corner' of the Busch Stadium, near Gate #1 on Broadway and Poplar Streets
  • Wait outside along Broadway
  • Your Cardinals Representative will meet the group.  DO NOT enter the stadium until your Cardinals Representative leads your group through the gate.

5:00 pm - Parade Participants Enter Stadium

 

  • Tickets are scanned upon entry
  • Your Cardinals Representative will escort the group down the ramps and to field access.

 

5:25 pm -  Parade on the Field

  • Your Cardinals Representative will lead you onto the field.
  • Parade start time on the field will be between 6:25 pm - 6: 40 pm.
  • You will stay on the warning tracks as you parade around the field and will not be allowed onto the field or grass area.
  • Please keep photos to a minimum to keep the parade moving.
  • Once the parade is finished and everyone exits the field, the group will be escorted up the east ramp and back to the main concourse.  If parents want to meet their children, they can wait outside of section 130 by the ramp.

Other Information:

  • Max 2-3 coaches per team walk in the parade.  Teams with younger players may want to have additional parents walk to keep track of the boys in the crowd.
  • Line up order will be by MAA Team #
  • Parade participants must have ticket for admission with them.
  • Players should wear baseball shirts in the parade.

 

Note to Managers and parents:  Last year there were groups from other ballpark also waiting at the gate for the parade, and it was difficult to see and find others from your MAA team.  Be sure to coordinate with your team parents, allow plenty of extra time, and use cell phones to find one another.

Board of Directors

New Board Members Wanted!

We're looking for several parents who would like to join the Board and help run the ball park.  Manchester Athletic Association is a501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is not affiliated with the City of Manchester in any way, other than our location and name.  Our ball park is run by volunteer parents just like you and is funded by registrations and concession stand revenues.

Some on the board have volunteered their time for nearly 20 years due to their love of baseball and willingness to give their time; others have only joined the board in the last few years.  Obviously the more people involved the less work invovled for any one person.  If you are the type of person who wants to get involved and be a part of a nonprofit organation that promotes youth fitness and baseball/softball instruction you will fit in just fine.

 

Volunteer Duties Include:

Monthly Board meetings that take 60 - 90 minutes

Coordinator Responsibility:  For example running the Training League, Boys or Girls Coordinators, or Umpire Scheduling
In Charge of the Ball Park: Approx two times per month you will be the person in charge of the ball park for a 5 hr shift.

 

It's a great way to get involved with the community and to meet a lot of people.  If you're interested please contact any Board Member.
